Educator campaign "We miss you"

Educational specialists wanted

We need reinforcement! We need you!

The state capital of Mainz runs over 60 daycare centers and is one of the largest employers in the Rhine-Main area. We offer the best possible education and early childhood development for the children of our city, because children are our future.

As we have many new construction and renovation projects planned for our daycare centers in the coming years, our need for qualified educators remains high.

Thanks to our large number of daycare centers, we offer you various forms of childcare and enable you to work with children of different ages.

Children also need male role models in daycare centers and schools, so we warmly welcome applications from men!

Daycare center initiative "Personal+"

The state capital of Mainz has developed extensive measures to support the employees of the 62 municipal daycare centers in their educational work. A total of 111 new jobs are to be created as a result.

Mayor Nino Haase explains: "With the Personal+ initiative, we have put together a whole package of measures to strengthen the daycare teams and improve their working conditions. We want to give our educators more freedom so that they can concentrate more on their core educational tasks. The additional staff and improved communication will also benefit the children and their parents in particular. Good, reliable childcare is also essential for Mainz as a business location and sends a strong signal to all companies that want to settle here."

Social Affairs Officer Dr. Eckart Lensch adds: "With the Personal+ initiative, we want to ease the burden on the personnel departments of our municipal daycare centers, and we are confident that all facilities will benefit from this. We also promote diversity in daycare centers, because well-equipped, multi-professional teams are an asset to both employees and children. The daycare centers run by recognized independent providers also make an important contribution to the care of children in Mainz. Our goal is to provide the independent providers with sufficient financial resources so that they can continue to do good work in the area of childcare."
