Development plans

Foreword

The state capital of Mainz wants to provide citizens, prospective builders, and planners with as much information as possible about building and planning law. The presentation of development plans on the Internet is an additional source of information and an expanded service offered by the city administration.

The overview of the development plans for the state capital of Mainz, which is shown in the map section of this website, displays both the older plans, which are available in analog form, and the newer plans, which have been created digitally, in a variety of graphic formats.

Once you have selected the desired development plan using one of the procedures described under Help and Notes, it will be enlarged on the screen, regardless of whether it is a digital or analog plan, with its area of application and plan statistics.

While you can also view a digitally available development plan as a legal plan with textual specifications and justifications directly on the screen and save it on your PC, analog development plans are only displayed with their scope of application and plan statistics.

If you are interested, the analog plan can be ordered as a black-and-white copy or as a blueprint by telephone from the plan room/blueprint room or using the online form. A digitally available development plan can also be ordered as a color plot. You can reach the plan room/blueprint room by calling (06131) 12-3034.

The urban development plans currently in the process and available for public inspection, including the documents (e.g., explanatory report or justification), will continue to be published on the Internet. At www.mainz.de/stadtplanungsamt, you can view the period and location of public participation or public inspection, as well as the corresponding drafts and explanatory reports/justifications.

Please note:
Please note that the PDF versions of legally binding development plans available in digital form, which are displayed on the screen and can be downloaded to your computer, are not legally binding themselves. Only the original development plans, which you can view at the City Planning Office during the designated opening hours, are legally binding.
