For over 25 years, associations, groups, and initiatives in Mainz have been working to promote a sustainable lifestyle. At the heart of all efforts to inform, raise awareness, and inspire action today are the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). These were adopted in 2015 as part of the 2030 Agenda. Under the motto “Think globally, act locally,” the focus is on conscious lifestyles, environmental and climate protection, energy conservation, health, regional cycles, global engagement and responsibility, social projects, eco-friendly mobility, and much more.
