Mainz city administration
The Mainz city administration is a service provider for the citizens of our city. With over 5,300 employees, it is one of the largest employers in the region. The "State Capital Mainz" company is managed by the city council. This consists of the mayor, the deputy mayor, and six aldermen. Each member of the city council heads a department. Please refer to the organizational chart of the Mainz city administration to see which departments the offices and institutions are assigned to.
The offices and municipal enterprises of the city administration are located at three main sites:
- City Hall (currently operating from the Große Bleiche town hall),
- Kaiserstrasse Town Hall, and
- Citadel.
Fifteen local administrations provide citizen-oriented services in the city districts.

The "State Capital Mainz" company also includes various municipal companies. Information on this can be found under "City Group, other authorities." The Main" The Mainz city administration operates more than 60 daycare centers, 42 schools, and 10 children's and youth centers.
